Green Lakewing Sprite

Traits: This Sprite is commonly found in freshwater, such as lakes or ponds. It is the only aquatic based creature of its kind to use actual wings to propel itself through water. These wings depicted here are used like fins, and can move the creature swiftly through the water, as if it were air. These are also good camoflauge, and the sprite can wrap them around their body and pose as weeds or kelp if a predator is near. The Green Lakewing is also partly amphibious, and lays its eggs on land. Once the offspring has hatched, they too join the water with their parents. Two sprites alone can create around 1000 babies in their lifetime, but as they are so small (2 inches max.) this is of no great threat to other creatures. They are herbivores, and live on weeds and algae.
